Masr Egbari performed a live stream concert at Ewart Hall on American University in Cairo’s Tahrir Square campus, sponsored by We Communications and their Online Music Festival. During the concert there were 90,000 viewers from all over the world and the Youtube video has been watched a quarter of a million times.
I got a phone call about this concert four days before the performance. The venue was very well supplied so we had a small extra order of some moving lights for the floor.
The performance was very popular, but unfortunately some technical issues prevented the giant LED screen that framed half of the band from being used. The idea was to have the broadcast also on a Zoom meeting, so audience members could interact with the band.
